T-Roc For Europe Only

Guess this means anyone outside of Europe will not be able to get their hands on one including Canada. Automotive News says the T-Roc was designed specifically for Europe and it was not originally intended for North America sales. Instead, people in NA will get something called the "Volks-SUV" instead. What a shame...

I knew this was going to happen, and it's a little ridiculous that they don't think people in NA have interest in smaller crossovers. Who knows how long it'll be before we see this alternative crossover concept, and I doubt it'll feature a convertible option

We're all for unique looking vehicles, the Hyundai Kona is doing pretty well and my friend just recently purchased one. With similar looks, the VW T-Roc would have flourished as well but we're getting an SUV instead. Maybe it'll look exactly like the T-Roc but with a different badge.

Well you have to be pretty careful these days with the VW models that you decide on. I know the new Atlas is having a whole bunch of serious mechanical issues, so I'm a little skeptical of getting one of their SUV's. The Cross Coupe GTE concept does look pretty interesting.

I'm usually that thrifty shopper who waits for a year after the initial release before purchasing a new model. That'll give them a year to work out the kinks like the Atlas and by the time I'm ready to put the money down, there should be a sizable discount for the previous model year cars. If the T-Roc does become a global model, Europe would have already been the beta testers for it.
